Thermal Spa Podhájska
The Podhájska thermal spa has a summer and a winter season. In summer a 12-hectare site with 10 pools of geothermal and non-thermal water and water slides is open; in winter the indoor and outdoor pools of the Aquamarin wellness centre and the indoor swimming pool.
Beneficial thermal water
The thermal water comes from a geothermal spring drilled in 1973 at a depth of 1,900 m. It is highly mineralised – the operator compares its composition to Dead Sea water. Key facts:
Children have their own pools, in Aquamarin a slide board with water jets and a playground, and in summer water slides and a wave pool. Children under 10 may enter only with a person over 18, and children under 15 are not admitted to the Vitálny svet sauna world. Adults will enjoy the thermal pools with massage jets, the sauna world and massages.
Summer and winter season
There are short closures between the summer and winter seasons – see the current dates in the section above. In winter the outdoor Aquamarin pools with thermal water up to 39 °C stay open, and from Friday to Sunday also the seated thermal pool of the relaxation complex.
Practical information
The spa is in the village of Podhájska in the Nitra region. You enter through the main entrance building; inside there are changing rooms with lockers and the Jazmín restaurant, and there is a car park next to the site (charged per the operator's price list). Deposits for keys and services are cash only.
